Sheriff Ashes Book Signing 1

Retired Tennessee Sheriff Recalls Harrowing Vietnam Experiences Book signing set for Lebanon Wilson Chamber of Commerce

Lebanon, Tennessee – Terry Ashe was working in a Lebanon clock factory and planning a career in law enforcement after high school graduation, but when he received his draft card, his dreams of becoming a sheriff were put on hold. After training as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division, Ashe was promptly deployed to Vietnam, where numerous near misses, close calls, and chance encounters tested and reaffirmed his faith, but left a permanent mark that time will never erase.

In his new book, Daylight Moon, Ashe shares how he felt a guardian angel had his back, and the love of his family kept him grounded during the harrowing Tet Offensive. He describes the experience in detail, including his miraculous survival of the deadly ambush of his recon team as it drove into enemy territory. Ashe recounts the lifelong lessons learned and the lives of friends lost during the Southeast Asian battle.
